Ron Paul Holds Press Conference for Launch of the Ron Paul Institute (4/17/2013)

April 19th, 2013

On Wednesday afternoon in Washington DC, Dr. Ron Paul formally launched the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity. At the press conference, the libertarian-leaning politician said his new educational organization was needed because “governments reflect the people’s attitude,” and the current attitude was far too accepting of war. Rep. Walter Jones Jr. (R-NC), Rep. John Duncan (R-TN) and former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), all members of the organization’s advisory board, also spoke at the press conference, as did Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY). Executive director Daniel McAdams explained the new Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity would not operate like a traditional think tank. Instead of merely publishing reports, he said the organization would have a lively website and hold seminars in various parts of the country. Video compliments of YouTube User: Daniel McAdams.

Ron Paul Gives Congressional Lecture on the Federal Reserve and the Growth of Government (9/4/2012)

September 6th, 2012

Congressman Ron Paul delivered this Congressional lecture on "The Great Enabler: The Rise of the Federal Reserve and the Growth of Government." The introduction was given by Senator Rand Paul. Congressman Paul explains in this lecture the Federal Reserve's role as the enabler of big government. Through purchases of government debt, the Fed allows the government to spend beyond its means and contributes to the growth of the welfare-warfare state. If leviathan government is to be countered, understanding monetary policy and the fundamental role it plays in the relentless growth of government is a necessary first step. Ron Paul Hosts Town Hall Forum in Meredith, NH (1/8/2012)

January 8th, 2012

Ron Paul continued his tour around the Granite State in a rare Sunday town hall meeting in Meredith, New Hampshire. Introduced by Rand Paul, the Congressman reportedly drew around 300 people to the Church Landing at Mill Falls for the campaign forum- that sounded more like a rally! Dr. Paul delivered his familiar refrain of cutting $1T in federal spending and disengaging from the foreign entanglements abroad. A nice, long question and answered session ensued. Following the audience Q&A, the campaign took a few minutes to answer questions from the media. This entire forum was covered thanks to C-Span. Crazy as it sounds, I think C-Span has become the de-facto television home of the r3VOLution (not that they have much competition)!

Ron Paul sat down with reporters and editors from the Des Moines Register on Saturday to discuss the issues related to his campaign for the Republican nomination, and for the President of the United States. Dr. Paul was asked about a myriad of issues, including foreign intervention, same-sex marriage, immigration, the limitations on federal authority, and the debt-reduction super-committee. The Register has (in totality) been quite dismissive of Congressman Paul over the months- even to the point that he has received less coverage than the likes of Santorum and Pawlenty. On the DMR website, they retain their GOP Presidential Power Rankings, in which affiliated "experts" ranked Ron Paul 9th in the field!
